Pain Management and Pain Mapping

At MicroSpine, our goal is to correctly diagnose and resolve your condition. In some cases the exact cause of the pain is not certain due to prior surgeries or multiple problems. At MicroSpine, we utilize a unique method of pain mapping to attempt to definitely confirm your problem. This system includes injections that attempt to temporarily "numb" the pain to confirm the exact source of the pain. If we know the exact source then resolving it is much easier. Too often conventional surgeons just look at your MRI and assume that what they see is the issue. Unfortunately, MRI's are tools and are not absolutes. This is why we utilize our pain mapping system to improve your chances of a good outcome. not all patients will require this modality but when utilized it will help to make sure that you get what is needed to correct your issues.
